Autism treatment can be complex, so to help visualize what needs to be done in our clinic, we use Mind Maps to help parent's understand the various treatment steps. The map is by no means comphrensive, but it does provide some basic framework. autism mindmap The successful treatment of autism requires a very thorough nutritional program, including a very complete nutritional program for the GI tract. These products are designed to be used together in a synergistic fashion. Don't expect any one product to be a full treatment, but each supplement can be thought of as a tool to address some of the many problems we find in autism and ADD. The Maxam products are very helpful in improving brain function and detoxification.PCA-Rx and PC3-x are used to remove heavy metals and other toxins. PCA-Rx is the stronger product and is the product we recommend for all, but the most sensitive children. AF-x is a combination product containing both detox support and NG. If there is such thing as supplement that works on all kids, this is closest thing to it.. We recommend using AF-x along with PCA-Rx or PC3-x for the best results. NG is designed to improve cognitive function. These products are available at a discount when purchased as a combo pack. Typical use would be to combine PCA-Rx with NG or AF-x. PCM is the newest product to the line. It is PCA-Rx combined with calming agents. The new Learner's Edge products are formulated just for autistic and ADD children. There are four products: Child Essence which is a specialized multiple vitamin and mineral formulation, Pure Kids which is designed to correct the detoxification defects found in most of these children, Immuno Kids which is designed to improve immune function, Digest Right which is a specialized enzyme product containing digestive enzymes plus the DPIV enzyme needed by many of these children. Virox is a mushroom extract useful in reducing bowel inflammation found in most autistic children. It should be part of the treatment regimen of most autistic children.
